The Student House of Representatives is a body that comprises half of hte SGA Legislative Branch. This body is made up of representatives sent from the various student organizations registered with Virginia Tech. Every registered student organization, university chartered student organization, and university student life program, all of which total over 600 groups, has a seat within the House and may utilize that seat to express its concerns to its peers and affect change within the university. Our main vehicle of bringing this change about is the legislative process. The legislation of SGA is a formalized expression fo the will of hte student body and is sent through the university governance system. By passing legislation, we can have a great impact on our lives as students.

If you ever have an issue with any aspect of your life here at Virginia Tech, bring it to your organization's SGA Representative. If your organization lacks a representative, then step up and volunteer yourself! Being a Representative is a great way to get more involved with your organization and Virginia Tech as a whole.
